I really appreciate the utilization of a valet tray, and it is the item that I did not know I was missing until I got it. This is a very nice piece for catching keys and whatnot.
So...I'm a junk-drawer kind of guy. Open the drawer, throw your crap into it, and shut it. Easy-peasy...until you have to fish your crap out of said drawer.
I never really minded the fishing expedition...been doing it for years...but then something caught my eye. A Valet Snap Tray? Sound fancy...I'm intrigued.
See, not too long ago I was surfing the Land website checking out reviews while in the process of researching their Traveler Briefcase (which I ended up purchasing BTW - it's great.)
When I came across the Valet Snap Tray during my one-way trip to analysis paralysis, I thought "I could use some organization in my life, even if it is fancy. Fancy never hurt anyone..."
Even though I didn't buy it at the time (because the briefcase-whisperer kept reminding me why I was on this site in the first place), I regularly thought about it every time I rummaged through my junk-drawer to find my keys.
Now I'm not the kind of guy who would typically buy something like this for myself, despite how much I thought about it, so it was a totally cool surprise when I was gifted the Valet Snap Tray.
Upon opening the packaging, I was immediately impressed. Wrapped nicely, great feel to it, super nice materials, worked perfectly....and yes, it's kinda fancy but not so much that I feel weird about it. But the best part...it's totally functional. So much so, that I asked myself why I didn't have one of these before this.
Let me be clear: this doesn't solve my junk-drawer problem, but it does allow me to separate the important everyday stuff so that it's not an episode of Deadliest Catch every time I leave the house. The Tray is also nice enough to leave out, which I guess is the point, but I'm a junk-drawer guy...so this is a departure from the normal for me.
In any case, this is a cool accessory that makes life easy. It's an added bonus to be so well made and nice looking. I'm super happy with it.
And BTW, Land Team (ie. Karl), you people are great.
